Brief

Telangana and Samaikya Andhra issue which is going on currently.

Guidelines and structure

o Program starts with Loksatta UK formation, Interdiction etc.

o Introduction to LSP UK aims and Objectives etc. – 10 Min.

o Introduction to the programme. As this programme’s main objective is to raise funds for CHCs in India.

o Snacks, can be arranged. Just water and Biscuits.

o No entrance fee

o We can target around 50 people and venue can be somewhere in Hounslow.

Topics:

1. NRIs roles in Indian Politics -

How should NRIs play role in Indian Politics

- Invite one person form each party (TDP, Cong, PRP, Loksatta, BJP, CPI, CPM, TRS)

- Allow just 5 min time each to speak on this topic.

- This will allow us to get some audience as all the above 8 brings at least 2 to 3 people with them, we get decent number of audience.

- One question to each from audience may take around 2 min.

- Time: 1 hour, may go up to 1.5 hours.

Task: We will work on identifying people.

2. Telangana – must be formed or not?

- Quick facts about Recent Telangana agitation - 2 - 3 mins

- What is the Telangana issue all about?

- About Telangana Backwardness.

- What is various political parties stand, very briefly

- Intellectuals, one who support Telangana and one who does not support the same.

- Both must not be from the political parties and should not represent any political parties.

- Both speaks for around 10 to 15 min each

- Both take questions until we have time.

- Time: may go for another 2 hours.

- Publish the message on Indian Lok Satta website

- Publish the message on UK Lok Satta website

- Mike arrangements

- Prepare the facts and other introduction text

- Prepare the organising pattern of the debate.
